Printing costs soar for producing federal budget documents

Ottawa stopped distributing or selling paper copies of government publications in 2014, but the federal Finance Department remains an anomaly. The department is spending more than half a million dollars to produce next week’s budget documents in ink-and-paper format — the biggest budget printing bill ever.
