When it first opened in 1958, the Southway Inn had just 7 rooms. By the time this photo was taken in 1983, the building had expanded to 57.

For nearly six decades, the Southway Inn was a home away from home for Inuit visiting Ottawa. Today, a sculpture commemorating that history will be unveiled at the hotel’s former location.
